NEAR’s Big Week Puts Sustained Demand in Focus
NEAR has attracted attention with a sharp weekly rally. The next test is whether buyers can hold those gains as the initial excitement fades.
On September 21, Binance News reported a nearly 80% weekly increase, alongside $29.3 billion in cumulative NEAR Intents volume and confidential deposits exceeding $70 million on near.com.
Price snapshot: CoinGecko’s page checked at 15:36 UTC on September 21 showed NEAR around $4.02, up 71.1% over seven days. Weekly returns vary with the measurement time and provider.
My take: the activity figures give investors something concrete to examine. Cumulative volume measures transactions processed over time; assessing its value requires looking at repeat usage, fees generated and how that activity creates demand for NEAR.
After such a rapid advance, I would watch how price behaves during pullbacks. Buyers absorbing selling pressure while trading activity remains healthy would strengthen the case for a durable move. Weak rebounds and fading participation would suggest momentum is cooling.
The longer-term question is whether users keep choosing these services after promotional incentives and market attention fade. That evidence takes longer to develop than a weekly price surge.
What would give you more confidence: stronger usage, sustained volume, or a successful retest?
