In the past 24 hours, liquidations across the whole network totaled $924 million, with 86% hitting shorts.
Binance has 307 million, one third of the total, ranking first.
The most unusual is Huobi HTX: among 85.16 million in liquidations, longs account for 37.67 million—44%. For other exchanges, the short-side share is at least 79%.
In terms of number of trades, Huobi had 2,765 trades and an average of $310,000 per trade, which is 4.5 times Binance’s; most of the losses went to large accounts using high leverage.
In a short-squeeze market, long positions are concentrated and get liquidated; mostly, the long orders placed high and with additional leverage get eaten by the pullback.
