The last thing I want to do is say on my mouth that a pullback is an opportunity, and then end up talking myself into being a person who can hold a single position no matter what.

Bitcoin moved down yesterday and then climbed back up today. I’m still leaning bullish—favoring the idea of buying the pullback at the start of a bull trend—and I also believe there’s still room for upside later. But even if I’m optimistic, who wouldn’t hope that when an opportunity comes, it would resolve things a bit more straightforwardly rather than repeatedly testing people’s patience.

“Buy the dip” and “after buying, it can just drop however it wants”—the difference between them is enormous. If it really goes down the wrong way, I don’t want to temporarily give myself a crash course and turn my short-term judgment into a long-term belief.

Especially that line, “Anyway, it can still rise back,” which sounds far too smooth—so smooth that it’s easy to forget to reject holding a single position. I have expectations for the upside, and I still need to keep some caution about my stubborn words.
