According to Bitquery, the Robinhood chain collected roughly $4.5 million in transaction fees on September 3, while Ethereum was paid only $398 for data availability posting and confirmations. The analysis argues that increased Layer 2 activity does not necessarily translate into proportional revenue for Ethereum, since a significant portion of fee income remains within the L2 ecosystem
