Mainland China version 18 Pro dual SIM: three kinds of “OR” ≠ quad-card dual standby
In the mainland China iPhone 18 Pro specifications, Apple lists: two physical cards, physical + eSIM, or two eSIMs—don’t mistake it for “four cards on standby at the same time.”
The line on Apple’s China mainland website is actually three “or” options: two nano-SIMs, or one nano-SIM plus one eSIM, or activating two eSIMs. It’s still dual standby at the same time—not four numbers all tied up at once. For an eSIM activated in mainland China, you have to go to a Mobile/Unicom/Telecom business hall for identity verification; if you delete and set it up again, you’ll have to run back—don’t expect instant activation by scanning.
If you want to use an overseas number to receive verification codes, then put the “you can add it only when you’re abroad” line into your luggage checklist—don’t just focus on the “four-card” wording in marketing copy.
