Do buyers surpass the $80,000 level?
Bitcoin has returned above $80,000, and the next test is whether buyers can keep it at this level.
In a snapshot dated September 18, 2026, Bitcoin (BTC) traded near $80,825, up 5.6% over the past 24 hours. Trading volume was around $36.96 billion—about 19.7% higher than the previous day.
My view: Reclaiming a round-number level draws attention, but sustained trading above it will provide stronger evidence that demand is still strong. The next pullback could reveal more details about this rebound than the initial breakout above $80,000.
I will watch whether buyers repeatedly defend the level and whether the bounces maintain momentum. A quick return below $80,000 would weaken the case for an immediate recovery. Repeated buying near this threshold would strengthen it.
Also, the higher trading turnover rate deserves careful interpretation. Volume measures activity; however, it alone does not prove net inflows, institutional buying, or a sustained shift in sentiment.
For now, the landmark is clear. Confirmation depends on what happens next.
Will $80,000 become support, or will buyers need to try again?
