Chainalysis reported that hackers linked to countries, including groups associated with North Korea and Iran, are increasingly using public blockchain networks to store malware instructions and infrastructure details, making it harder to disrupt their campaigns. The company linked some activities to the UNC5342 group associated with North Korea through Tron, Aptos, and BNB Smart Chain platforms, and said that similar techniques were seen on the Bitcoin and Ethereum platforms via EtherHiding for persistent access to command-and-control systems
