🚨🌍 WORLD JUST CHANGED THE SELF-CUSTODY GAME 🌍🚨

The wallet once lived behind a password and a gate,
Now money is moving where borders hesitate.

World has begun rolling out World Money, a self-custodial financial app across 150+ countries, with availability and features varying by jurisdiction.

The bigger story is what sits inside it: stablecoin payments, digital-asset trading, rewards, virtual accounts, and cross-border transfers are being brought into one interface.

World is also connecting the app with services including Stripe, Kalshi, and Morpho. In the US, Stripe supports an Apple Pay funding route for stablecoin purchases.

My Take: The headline is not simply “150 countries.” The real shift is the attempt to make self-custody feel less like crypto infrastructure and more like everyday financial software.

That could reduce friction for users, but self-custody also means responsibility stays closer to the user. Regulatory differences, asset availability, security, and feature access remain important variables across markets.

If World can turn its identity network into repeated financial usage, this launch becomes more than another wallet release. It becomes a test of whether self-custody can move into everyday money.

Will users adopt World Money for daily financial activity, or remain primarily crypto-wallet users?
