The House Financial Services Committee advanced the Bitcoin strategic reserve bill by a step: 28 votes to 21, out of committee.
But out of committee ≠ it became a law. It still needs to pass the full House and the Senate; the Senate side’s related package hasn’t been sorted out yet.
In the middle, they also cut the idea of adding to the position using Federal Reserve surplus and revaluing gold. What remains is more like: take the seized coins back into the warehouse, straighten out the accounting, and lock them away for twenty years or so.
So it’s fine that the hot Tag says “Advance,” but don’t treat it as reserve legislation already enacted and implemented.
