A spread of Bs. 29.16 (3.11%) on the P2P Radar and another of Bs. 0.30 (0.03%) in the Order Book do not contradict each other: they measure different things from the same market. With BCV at Bs. 846.51 and a premium of 14.17%, the useful takeaway is not to choose which figure is correct, but to understand what each one represents and how much it costs, in bolívares, to enter and exit USDT/VES. All the data in this piece corresponds to the capture from September 16, 2026 at 18:00 UTC.
📊 Two readings of the same pair: 3,11% versus 0,03%
The Radar P2P summarizes 220 active offers in an aggregated average: Bs. 966,48 on the USDT buy side and Bs. 937,32 on the sell side. The difference is Bs. 29,16, equivalent to 3,11% when expressed over the sell price.
The Order Book, on the other hand, takes the marginal price available at that moment in Binance’s books and other platforms: best ask (buy) at Bs. 956,80 and best bid (sell) at Bs. 956,50. The difference is Bs. 0,30, or 0,03%. The book’s average price is Bs. 956,65.

Facts: one number is an average; the other is an edge. That’s the entire underlying difference.
📈 Why the Radar average isn’t the price you trade at
An aggregated average mixes offers with very different conditions: bank, minimum and maximum limits, payment method, trader reputation, and one’s own margin. The extreme tails—ads that almost nobody takes—push the average up and widen the apparent spread. The Order Book only publishes the best price on each side, regardless of how many listings are behind it.
Here’s a helpful datapoint: the bank-by-bank spreads reported by the panel itself range from 0,36% to 0,82%. Banco de Venezuela shows Bs. 3,52 (0,37%) with 21 offers; BANK, Bs. 3,45 (0,36%) with 16; Banesco, Bs. 6,44 (0,68%) with 21; Pago Móvil, Bs. 7,79 (0,82%) with 23. Those values are much closer to the book’s 0,03% than to the general average’s 3,11%.
🔎 The best price in the book is thin: 200 USDT behind the best ask
The best ask (Bs. 956,80, other platforms, Pago Móvil) has only 200 USDT behind it. The best bid (Bs. 956,50, Binance, BNC Banco Nacional) holds 10.748,10 USDT. This asymmetry matters if your amount isn’t small.
Exercise using the levels of the book itself: buying 5.000 USDT consuming the first three levels (200 at Bs. 956,80; 800 at Bs. 956,90; 4.000 at Bs. 958,48) yields an average price of Bs. 958,16, which is 0,14% above the best ask. It’s not a dramatic slippage, but it confirms that the 0,03% only applies to a tiny ticket.
Large depth lives in Bs. 958,48–959,50: there are 9.000 USDT at Bs. 958,84, 8.852,51 at Bs. 958,56 and 49.518,76 at Bs. 959,50. On the sell side the picture is more comfortable for medium amounts: with 10.748,10 USDT at the best bid, placing 5.000 USDT at Bs. 956,50 doesn’t require walking through levels.
💰 The 14,17% premium depends on which side you look at
Base calculation: Bs. 966,48 ÷ Bs. 846,5131 − 1 = 14,17%. That’s the premium on the buy side of the Radar versus the BCV exchange rate.
If you use the Order Book average price (Bs. 956,65 ÷ Bs. 846,5131 − 1), the premium drops to 13,01%. And if you take the Radar selling price (Bs. 937,32 ÷ Bs. 846,5131 − 1), it ends up at 10,73%. Three different figures, one same BCV.
As an additional reference, the parallel dollar from the panel trades at Bs. 956,56 (buy Bs. 957,43 / sell Bs. 955,69), only Bs. 0,09 below the USDT Order Book average price (Bs. 956,65). The convergence is striking, even though these are different instruments.
Data note: the opportunities module in the same report shows a premium of 12,45%, which doesn’t match the 14,17% calculated on Bs. 846,5131. It also lists other platforms with Bs. 984,43, an exchange that doesn’t appear in the book, which only reports Binance and other platforms. These are dataset inconsistencies, and it’s best to treat them as pending verification before citing them.
