CLARITY is in Congress, while on the exchange side they’ve already started competing for high-net-worth accounts.

CNBC reported today that Binance has opened Capital Connect—originally intended for institutional clients—to eligible individual investors. Catherine Chen, head of VIP & institutional business, put it plainly: if individual clients want this channel, we’ll respond to the demand.

Threshold as reported: the asset size is at least around the USD 1 million range (including platform positions and other conditions; subject to official eligibility criteria and the jurisdictional whitelist).

What’s worth watching in the structure isn’t “yet another wealth-management page”—it’s on the Portfolio Account, with management fees/performance fees/risk metrics standardized. The trading team manages the strategy; investors allocate by strategy, without needing to set up a separate fund. It’s a bit like a TradFi SMA (separately managed account).

Scale: As of September, about 212 combined products, 77 professional trading teams; in May it was still 106 / 35. It started with a crypto bias, but later more and more teams began mixing TradFi tools into their strategies.

My screening: The legislative timeline can move slowly, and on the product side they’re pushing an “institutional strategy shelf” toward qualified individuals. Qualification and risk are on you; this does not constitute investment advice.
