Optical communications stocks edge higher in pre-market trading. Lumentum up 1.92%, Corning up 1.71%, Coherent up 2.52%, Broadcom up 0.67%, and Mevion? (MKS?)/迈威尔科技 up 1.74%.

International oil prices fall
On the 16th, international oil prices fell. U.S. WTI crude futures fell 1.57% to $104.18 per barrel; Brent crude futures fell 1.04% to $107.63 per barrel.

Gold and silver prices rise

Iranian Revolutionary Guard downs a U.S. MQ-9 drone
