SKUU rose 4.4% to 27.25 within 24 hours, but the holding volume for the same period was only 27,988, with thin incremental volume. This isn’t trend-driven capital pushing up the price; it’s a technical rebound caused by short sellers covering and exiting in a stampede. Since open interest did not follow the rise, it suggests most of the long side hasn’t entered. At the moment, the current price lacks support from new buy orders. The counterargument is that if this level holds and open interest increases significantly, it could evolve into a fresh opportunity to build positions after a short squeeze. The second-order implication is that if the rebound lacks volume, when the price retraces, the positions these short sellers used to cover will quickly turn into new selling pressure. If the price falls back below 26.5, I will close the trial long position.
