Democrats also continue to press on ethical controversies surrounding the President’s family’s crypto-related interests and the breadth of regulatory coverage, leaving the political consensus needed to advance the bill in the Senate highly fragile.

Market forecasts and industry observers indicate that the probability of finalizing the legislation within the year remains low—around 20% to 40%.

As a result, the cryptocurrency market has not mindlessly celebrated the procedural vote. After pushing up, Bitcoin has entered a cautious stalemate near $78,000, with capital remaining highly on guard over whether Washington will face further “setbacks” or whether the matter may be substantively shelved.

The market doesn’t show a clear direction; capital is waiting for several key events this week.

🏛 CLARITY Act: The verdict is tomorrow

The U.S. Senate is expected to hold a crucial procedural vote on the CLARITY Act on Sep 15.

This is not the final passage, but if cloture gets 60 votes, the bill will move forward.

More importantly, the Trump administration has agreed to adopt stricter provisions on crypto interest-conflict and ethics restrictions to win support from both parties.

For the entire U.S. digital asset regulatory framework, this could be the biggest policy catalyst this week.

📈 BTC ETF cools off, ETH shows stronger performance

Spot BTC ETFs ended the prior three-week streak of inflows, turning into roughly $463M in net outflows last week.

Meanwhile, ETH ETFs continue to show relatively stronger demand for inflows, with institutional capital becoming noticeably more differentiated.

BTC is still in the $76K–$80K range; clearer direction may only emerge after the FOMC.

🏦 Fed: Rate-hike expectations rise to ~87%

U.S. inflation remains elevated, and the Middle East situation has pushed up oil prices, further heating up market expectations for a Fed rate hike this week.

Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan currently both expect a 25-basis-point hike in September.

The FOMC decision on the 16th, along with Powell’s subsequent remarks, will directly impact the U.S. dollar, Treasury yields, and risk assets.

🚨 BTC holds $77,000, but I think what’s really worth watching isn’t 77K.

It’s what comes next—

the next 24 hours.

$BTC is still hovering near a key area.

On the surface, it looks like the market is stuck in a range.

But today and tomorrow, Crypto will face two major heavyweight catalysts in a row:

🇺🇸 The CLARITY Act key procedural vote

🏦 The Fed FOMC interest rate decision

A regulatory framework that will affect Crypto’s future.

And one that affects the single most important thing for global markets:

liquidity.

More interestingly—

the market hasn’t fully leaned bearish yet.

The BTC options market has recently shown clear changes, with some traders starting to bet on the end of the year re-challenging $80K—or even higher.

At the same time, expectations for Fed rate hikes remain very high.

So basically:

Right now, BTC is getting squeezed between “policy tailwind expectations” and “macro liquidity pressure.”

That’s why I think:

$77,000 is more important than just a price number.

If so many bearish expectations are weighing on the market,

and BTC can still hold this key area,

it means someone is stepping in below.

But if CLARITY fails + the Fed stays hawkish,

can $77K still hold?

That’s the real stress test.

On the other hand—

if CLARITY shows better-than-expected progress,

or if the Fed signals that this is not the start of a new consecutive rate-hike cycle,

the market might suddenly realize:

it was too bearish for too long.

So today, I’m not rushing to predict whether BTC will jump to 85K right away or drop back to 72K.

I’m only looking at one thing:

after the news hits, can BTC still hold $77K?

Because a truly strong market,

isn’t one without bad news.

It’s one where—

when bad news arrives, it can’t be pushed lower.
