Binance TradFi funding fee: from today, every 8 hours becomes every 4 hours
For those TradFi perpetuals: in Taipei today, starting at 16:15, the funding fee frequency changes from once every 8 hours to once every 4 hours.
Meituan, Kuaishou, Pop Mart, Tencent-related, plus the batch of USDⓈ-M TradFi contracts from Zhipu and MiniMax—also adjust the upper and lower limits together to ±1%. Previously, you could settle at most three times per day; now with a 4-hour schedule, you can settle six times per day. Don’t treat overnight positions under the old accounting rhythm.
What’s even more complicated: these contracts are hard-coded—if the fee rate hits the top/bottom, it won’t automatically shrink back to a 1-hour interval. Don’t apply the “when it’s full, it changes the hour” experience from ordinary coin-margined perpetuals. Whether a region can be enabled depends on the App.
