There’s no real front-page hype in this air coin
The $LAPTOP launched by Hunter Biden already played out a rollercoaster ride just yesterday: it surged to nearly $200 in a short time, then got hammered down to just a few dollars, falling by almost 99%.
The coin’s biggest selling point, plain and simple, is the words “Biden’s son,” plus the personal history of controversies he’s had in the past. That can definitely generate buzz, but buzz and value are completely different things.
Meme coins don’t have to have real-world utility, but at least they need an ongoing narrative and shared belief from investors. If it’s only propped up by celebrity status, and once the hype fades, who will take the last baton?
I’d rather treat coins like this as tokens in a casino than as a genuine long-term asset.
