ChainCatcher message, according to The Block: The U.S. Department of Justice reports that Adam Iza, a man from California, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his involvement in a kidnapping plot in August 2024.

He helped plan and funded a kidnapping plot targeting the parents of a person involved in a multi-billion-dollar bitcoin theft case. He directed six men from Florida to carry out violent carjacking and kidnapping in Connecticut via a mobile phone and encrypted communication applications. Currently, his brother and six participants have pleaded guilty; the remaining co-conspirators are still awaiting trial.
