$LITE 24 hours up 9.819%, price reached 978.05, but the funding rate stays at zero and the open contracts total 14011.70, relatively calm.

A one-way rise isn’t being “warmed up” by leverage; momentum may be propped up by spot or hard news, so its sustainability is questionable.

The price is up nearly 10%. A zero fundingRate value shows longs didn’t add leverage, and shorts weren’t forced to liquidate. In the last time we saw a similar surge with funding at zero, the price later gave back about half.

A quiet contract market means there’s no consensus support behind the rally, making it vulnerable to disruptions from external news.

If global news turns persistently positive—say, a semiconductor industry breakthrough—price could keep being pushed higher. But right now the tradfi_news field is empty, with no new catalyst.

Once the news cools off, spot profit-takers will likely sell, and with contract positioning still light, any pullback could happen quickly. If longs didn’t set a stop-loss, they’re prone to getting trapped.

Watch whether price can hold above 950, or whether the funding rate flips positive to 0.0005 or higher—that would indicate leveraged capital has entered. Otherwise, the thesis fails.

Don’t chase longs now. Wait for a retrace to 960 or for funding to turn positive before considering a long entry, with a stop-loss set below 930.
