Hayes: Bitcoin could rise to $250,000–$500,000 on a new wave of money printing

According to Arthur Hayes’ scenario, for BTC to grow that much, a real financial crisis is needed—one that will force the Fed and other central banks to sharply increase liquidity. One of the possible triggers Hayes points to is problems in Europe and Japan’s banking systems.

It also expects that any cooling of the AI boom could boost demand for assets as fiat is devalued. In this scenario, Bitcoin could set a new all-time high by the end of 2026, and in the longer term, Hays still allows BTC at $1 million and gold at $15,000.

Among altcoins, Hays highlights ETH and ENA, considering them among the best bets for the next cycle.
