$FWDI open interest remains at a high level of 62.5k contracts, but the funding rate is steady at the zero line. At this position, neither bulls nor bears have gained an advantage, and costs are completely balanced. High open interest combined with a zero funding rate is a classic precursor to a directional choice. The current intraday volatility of 1.27% is not enough to exhaust either side's patience. This is a single-signal judgment and lacks the direction of change in the funding rate, so it can only be characterized as a stalemate. If sideways movement continues and no incremental funds enter, open interest may slowly decline. I choose to wait and see, and will consider entering only after the funding rate begins to deviate persistently from the zero line.
