Let’s get to the conclusion first: DOGE rose nearly 4% in a day, but the liquidation direction kept flipping back and forth throughout the day.
Around the current price of 0.0899, the 24-hour high reached 0.0952 and the low was 0.0866. On Binance and OKX, the gains were both stuck at around 3.7%.
The entire market cleared $8.016 million in 24 hours, with 70% from shorts. Those who chased the drop couldn’t hold on and were instead squeezed out. But in the last 4 hours, the trend completely reversed: of the $1.051 million in liquidations, 99.7% were longs, and everyone who chased the rally got buried.
This wave was concentrated on two exchanges: Binance and OKX together accounted for 75% of the 4-hour liquidations. The largest single position was a $366,000 long that was forcibly liquidated at 0.0883.
A position holding for one day rose 6.7% to 118.9 billion, but Binance’s own position over these 4 hours shrank by 6.6% instead, cutting positions while getting liquidated.
