LINK is up 10% in three days. On the derivatives side, it looks like a textbook bullish setup: open interest is up 4.78% in one day, flagged as bull_strong, and whale long positions account for 73.6%. But at the same time, spot is quietly being sold off — the active buy/sell ratio is only 0.406, and seller volume is nearly 2.5 times buyer volume. This rally is fueled by leverage, not by real spot demand.
Price is stuck at 12.23, and the 12.468 level overhead is the shared high across the 24-hour, 3-day, and 7-day timeframes. After all this grinding, it still cannot break through. The order book is not helping either: sell orders outweigh buy orders, and the 1-hour candle closed with five bearish candles and one bullish candle.
The engine already labeled it clearly: taker divergence points to distribution, and the basis is still in negative territory. A strong leveraged long quadrant is often the best cover for distribution — the more excited the longs get, the easier it is for large holders to dump into the chase.
At this level, I’m short. I’ll enter around 12.4, target 11.9 for the first cover, and if 11.58, the 1-day low, breaks, I’ll look further down. There are only two invalidation signals: spot active buying turns positive again, or price breaks above 12.47 with volume. If either happens, the short is void and I’ll flip long immediately. #link $LINK
