BTC and ETH both reached multi-month highs. But I wouldn't celebrate the breakout yet.
Bitcoin climbed above $80K while Ethereum moved around $2,500.
Here's the part traders often miss:
Breaking resistance is one thing. Holding above it is another.
A strong move can attract two very different groups:
Spot buyers who believe the trend is changing.
And leverage traders who simply don't want to miss the move.
I want to know which group is dominating.
So I'm watching:
Spot volume.
ETF flows.
Funding rates.
Open interest.
BTC's ability to hold key support.
If price rises while leverage explodes, I become more cautious.
If price rises while spot demand remains strong and leverage stays reasonable, I'm much more interested.
Don't chase the breakout candle.
Watch what happens when buyers have to defend the breakout.
