📊 Market Brief: September 5th, 2026 (Friday)

$BTC 79,697 (-1.8%), $ETH 2,458 (-2.8%). Total crypto market cap $2.70T, BTC dominance 59.0%.
Breadth: 24 up / 25 down among liquid pairs on Binance.

🔸 BTC tagged 81.4K and slid to 79.7K after the US jobs report came in far above forecast. The 80K hold I asked about yesterday did not happen.
🔸 BNB is the only green major, +4.3% to 750 with futures open interest up 9% in four hours. Rotation inside the majors, not an exit.
🔸 Privacy coins, day two: $DASH +24% to 67 on $97M, ZEC holding 1,000 as the third most traded pair on Binance and the top trending topic on Square.
🔸 Derivatives: BTC open interest -6% in 24h to $8.6B, funding 0.0002% per 8h. Accounts went from 0.80 to 1.03 long/short, so the crowd leaned long into the dip while top traders stayed 2:1 long.

My read: ETFs had their biggest inflow day since January and price is still down on the day. When good news gets sold, I watch the 78.7K low more than the 81K high.
Dip inside the range, or the top of it?

Data: Binance spot/futures, CoinGecko, as of 09:10 UTC. Not financial advice.
