ZEC officially enters Wall Street
This matters more than reaching $800
$ZEC I’ve been bullish on this round, but today’s news feels more worth watching than simply making a new price high.
Grayscale’s Zcash ETF (ZCSH) has officially listed on NYSE Arca—making it the first U.S. exchange-traded product dedicated to providing direct ZEC exposure. Before the ETF launched, ZEC surged from around $600 all the way to a peak of $867.
On day one, trading volume was about $14.8 million. That number obviously can’t compare to BTC ETFs, but for an asset like ZEC—which has long been treated as a niche privacy coin—the significance is completely different.
Previously, people buying $ZEC were mainly coming from crypto-sector capital. Now, traditional brokerage accounts can also allocate it directly.
And before the ETF launch, the fund size had already exceeded $313 million, indicating this isn’t a product starting from zero.
I’ve said earlier that this market cycle may repackage ZEC from a “privacy coin” into a privacy-version of BTC. Now even the Wall Street entry point is here.
