Crude Oil WTI
Ended lower last evening by roughly steady 0.06%, to $90.63 (-0.06%), retreating from a near-6-week peak of $92.29 reached earlier in the session.
This decline came after some initial signs of easing during the latest upswing in «SoH», without confirmation of any new exchange of fire since around the end of midday yesterday, local time.
If calm continues—an important «if»—it won’t take long before the oil moving out of the Strait of Detroit via “shadow” vessel transits and ship-to-ship transfers returns to the levels we saw at the end of last week. The next 24 to 48 hours will be crucial in this regard.
