I decided to check #TradFi in #Binance not in theory, but in practice.
My test was simple.
First, I went to the section with tokenized stocks. I chose $NVDAB and opened the asset page.
Then I reviewed the conditions: the price, the spread, the chart, and the minimum amount for the transaction.
After that, I bought a small position. I wanted to understand the whole journey from funding to the actual purchase.
After the purchase, I looked at how my position changes along with the price of the underlying asset. Then I tested selling.
What did I get as a result?
For me, the main advantage is that everything happens in a familiar Binance environment. No need to switch to a separate brokerage service.
But there’s an important nuance. A tokenized stock is not the same as a regular stock in a brokerage account. There is a different ownership structure and its own risks.
So I wouldn’t see it as a substitute for a broker.
For me, it’s more like a bridge between #TradFi and the crypto market.
And these are the kinds of cases that interest me the most: when familiar financial assets get a new way to access them. @Binance_Ukraine
