If it's still new, I think it's better to start with SPOT first.
Especially if the setup uses invalidation based on the daily close—position sizing has to be calculated really carefully.
If the position is too big, even a small amount of floating can throw your mindset off and in the end you may end up leaving the plan.
With SPOT, at least we don’t have to deal with the risks of liquidation or margin call like when trading with leverage.
