💥👀 Bitcoin faces a tougher September as U.S. bond yields surge

Bitcoin started September with heightened volatility as U.S. Treasury yields moved sharply higher.

The 10-year Treasury yield reached around 4.76%, its highest level since January 2025, while the 30-year yield climbed to 5.269%, approaching its highest level since January 2007.

Higher long-term yields can pressure Bitcoin by tightening financial conditions and making yield-bearing assets more attractive. The latest move was also linked to renewed U.S.-Iran tensions, rising oil prices and growing expectations that the Fed could raise rates in September.

Still, BTC rebounded after Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the Treasury had not yet intervened to support the long end of the bond market, leaving room for further action.
