Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission has listed Star Bridge Capital, Star Bridge Capital Group, SBCFX, Star Bridge Capital Pty Limited, and Topical Wealth International Ltd as unlicensed companies. They are not allowed to conduct regulated activities in Hong Kong or actively promote their services to the Hong Kong public, whether inside or outside the city.
According to ChainCatcher, the move follows reports of abnormal forced liquidations in Star Bridge Capital's London gold trading, after which the firm's Hong Kong office was reportedly left empty. Hong Kong police have accepted the case and are treating it as fraud for now, but no arrests have been made. Some funds were deposited via USDT stablecoin, making tracing more difficult.
