In the past few days, the market has crashed significantly, and the waterfall effect is intensifying, especially today, the speed at which Bitcoin is falling makes me start to doubt whether there has been some insider information that has caused major institutions to run away...

So some voices of bottom-fishing have started to emerge in my groups, and there has even been talk of bottom-fishing altcoins, which I quickly suppressed 😂

Taking this opportunity, let me talk about my coin selection strategy: I only ask myself, will I think this coin will still be around in 3 years? If I am not sure, I won't bottom-fish.

So which coins will still be around in 3 years? I believe BTC will definitely be there, BNB will definitely be there, and SOL, which is collaborating with Twitter, will definitely be there as well. Of course, USDT will definitely be there too, and HYPE, ETH, etc., should not be killed by competitors and will still be around...

But if it's a shanzhai coin, I think it's not very reliable.

For example, the Alpha airdrop that everyone has been focused on, I usually post some research and comment on whether it will pump.

But I basically only analyze based on the current selling pressure, and I never say what it is for or how much investment it has received, because in my view, these fundamental things take three or even five years to become apparent; for now, just looking at the selling pressure is enough.

For example, the XPL airdrop last time, I said we must run because there was a lot of selling pressure: 5% from public offerings, 8% from ecological incentives, all large holders wanting to cash out; no matter how lively the market is, it doesn't help its prospects...

Today, a fan told me that his XPL is still in the layout. He managed to push the 280u big layout down to 17u, which is indeed quite regrettable.

Of course, from a 5-year perspective, maybe his layout is also correct. If plasma can really solve the stablecoin payment market, then even a small bite of the cake would be full of cream. But there are too many variables in 5 years, and the difficulty is high.

So still the same sentence at the beginning: when you want to take advantage of the big drop to buy the dip, my advice is — think about what coins we can still trade in 3 years. If you think it will still be around in 3 years, then you can buy the dip; but if you're not sure, I suggest you choose some more certain projects.
