For accounts registered using this code, the trading fee stays at 20% off long-term, and a 20% referral commission is credited automatically. The binding is valid for life after you bind once—no renewal is needed even after it expires.
Below, I list all the official entry points for the two things—“Register” and “Download”—including the original field text, as well as a few spots that are easiest to miss.

Go in through this link—ref is silently bound. The first screen of the registration page will not show any code text, so don’t assume it didn’t work.
👉 This is what the first screen of the registration page actually looks like: the title “Welcome to Binance” + an “Email/Phone Number” input field + a [Register] button. Below are options to “Continue with Google”, “Continue with Apple”, and “Continue with Telegram”. At the bottom is a line that says “Create a business account or log in”.
⚠️ There’s no "recommendation code/invitation code" field in the first screen. Tutorials you see online about "opening the recommendation code section on the registration page and filling the code" are for an old version page and are outdated.
👉 Official rules for the verification code and password: the verification code is a 6-digit number and is valid for 30 minutes. After entering it, tap【Submit】. The password must be at least 8 characters, with at least 1 uppercase letter and 1 number.
👉 ✅ Where the invitation code truly appears: on the page after you finish registration. The system will ask whether you have an inviter—choose "Yes"—and then the input box for the code will appear. Enter WIN98 here. The official field name is "Referrer ID (optional)".
If you join via the join link above, the system will automatically fill everything in. Next to it, you’ll see a green checkmark icon and【Bound】. If you see both, it’s done. If the code is invalid, you can edit it on the spot; if there’s no code, you can tap【Skip】.
👉 ⚠️ Two things can’t be changed after you register—make sure they’re correct in one go:
▸ Account type (personal/business) can’t be changed after registration
▸ After an invitation code is bound to an account, it can’t be modified
👉 When going through【Continue with Google】or【Continue with Apple】, pay attention: the official steps don’t include a "Create password" step (only the email/phone route has it as step 4). After logging in via the pop-up, tap【Confirm】→ jump back to the Binance official website → tap【Next】 and it will be set up.
Pay attention when going through【Continue with Telegram】: step 5 will ask you to choose【Create a new Binance account】or【Link an existing Binance account】. If someone already has an account and taps the wrong option, they’ll accidentally open another account.
👉 Real-name verification: Mainland China ID cards can pass. Path: 【Account】→【Identity Verification】→【Verify Now】. The official wording for the first step is "Select your country/region of residence, document issuing country/region, and document type." Choosing the wrong issuing location is the most common reason you get rejected. Next, upload the front and back of your ID card →【Continue】→ facial verification. For the facial step, the official three requirements are: "Please do not wear a hat/glasses or use filters, and ensure the lighting is sufficient"; "Place your face in the center of the frame"; "Make sure both eyes are open, and your whole face is centered and clearly visible."
👉 What happens if you don’t do real-name verification: The official announcement says that the account will switch to a "Withdrawals Only" mode—meaning you can only withdraw, cancel orders, redeem, or close positions. So don’t delay.

If you can’t install, first grant the permission: Settings → Privacy Protection → Special Permissions → Install unknown apps. On Xiaomi HyperOS, Honor MagicOS, OPPO ColorOS, vivo OriginOS, and Samsung One UI, menu names differ—just make sure you find the option "Install unknown apps".
Also quickly check the other three blockers: turn off Xiaomi’s "Clean Mode"; vivo’s "App Guard/i-Manager" may block one step; when you boot after installing, Google’s "Play Protect" may pop a prompt—choose to continue installing.
👉 ⚠️ Don’t download packages from third-party software download sites. The Binance Android packages hosted there usually have version numbers stuck at old versions like v3.3.3 / v3.8.8 / v3.18.5, several generations behind the current official version. If the version number doesn’t match, don’t install—it’s much more reliable than "Be careful of phishing" and you can tell at a glance.
👉 Apple: In China, Binance can’t be found in the App Store. You need a non-Mainland Apple ID (e.g., a Taiwan Apple ID). The official help page says the four steps are: tap the profile icon at the top-right of the App Store homepage → tap Log Out → enter a non-Mainland Apple account → search for the Binance App. After logging in successfully, tap【Search】, enter "Binance", and tap【Get】.
⚠️ This iOS route doesn’t include any channel tracking by itself, so if you want a commission rebate, the code must be filled in at the registration step. You can’t bind it just by downloading.
👉 Computer: The download page supports Windows and mac (the button says【Download Binance Desktop】).
👉 Web login via QR code (official wording in five steps): on the Binance web login page, click the QR code icon at the top-right → open the Binance app on your phone and log in → on the app’s profile page, tap the scan icon at the top-right → scan the web QR code → the app will pop up a login confirmation message; tap【Confirm Login】.
This only works if this account has already been logged into on the phone app. If the phone has never logged in with that account, it won’t work.
👉 ⚠️ One thing you must do before reinstalling the app: If you enabled 【Important scenarios must use Passkey for verification】, the official explicitly lists four situations where you must disable it first—switch to another mobile device, log in to a new iCloud account, change the passkey settings in the mobile device system settings, or reinstall the Binance app.
Official wording: "After enabling this feature, if you cannot use the passkey, you will not be able to log in to your Binance account."
Disable path: go to 【Profile】→【Account】→【Account Security】→ tap 【Manage】 next to 【Passkey】. Forgetting to turn this off before switching phones or reinstalling the app is one of the most common ways beginners lock themselves out.
👉 The last trap: the registration page and login page look almost identical. Both have the same "email/phone number" input field plus the same three third-party buttons. The only difference is the top title and the bottom line:
▸ Registration page: title "Welcome to Binance"; bottom text "Create a business account or log in"
▸ Login page: title "Log in"; bottom text "Create a Binance account" "Can’t log in?"
If you install the app and then end up registering again by mistake and opening two accounts, it’s basically because you misread this part. You don’t need to re-register when switching phones—just log in with the original account.
【How to confirm that the commission rebate is really bound】
👉 【Profile】→【Invitation Rewards】, or on the web footer【Invitation Rewards】→【Invite & Commission/Referral Commission】—you can see the commission rebate rate for your tier, which means it’s bound.
Commission rebates are calculated per hour and redeemed into USDC. After redemption is completed, it will be transferred to your spot account within 6 hours. Records older than 7 days require downloading a detailed report to view.
The official wording about the mechanism is: "After the invited person completes trades, the inviter will receive a commission rebate, and can also choose whether to share the cashback with the invited person."—the 20% you get back after filling WIN98 comes from here.
【Three security reminders】
1️⃣ You must turn on the anti-phishing code: 6 to 8 characters, and must include at least three categories from uppercase letters/lowercase letters/numbers/underscore. Once enabled, all emails and SMS messages sent by Binance will include the string of characters you set. Official criteria wording: "If the anti-phishing code you set is not displayed correctly or is missing, it may be a phishing scam—report it immediately." 2️⃣ Binance Authenticator is a standalone app—it's not the same thing as the trading app. From the download page, use the section there to install it; don’t search the same name in the app store and install that. ⚠️ Official rule: to protect account security, after the authenticator is changed, withdrawals and C2C trading will be disabled for 24 hours.
3️⃣ Binance will not proactively contact users by phone or social media. Anyone who adds you proactively, asks you to transfer funds, or asks for verification codes is a scammer.
