BlackRock’s IBIT recorded $294 million in positive Bitcoin holdings netflow on August 25, extending a seven-session streak that has reached a cumulative $1.824 billion since August 17.
The run began with
$174 million on August 17 and
$147 million on August 18, before increasing to
$240 million on August 19. Activity then accelerated to
$498 million on August 20, the largest daily reading of the streak.
IBIT followed with another $241 million on August 21, $230 million on August 24 and $294 million on August 25.
The persistence is more significant than any single daily move. Positive holdings netflow remained above $140 million in every session during the period, averaging about $261 million per trading day.
Momentum also strengthened in the second half of the streak.
The four sessions from August 20 through August 25 contributed $1.263 billion, or roughly 69% of the entire seven-session total.
The cumulative figure is 3.7 times larger than the strongest individual daily reading, showing that the recent increase in IBIT’s Bitcoin holdings was sustained rather than driven by one exceptional session.
With Bitcoin trading near the $80,000 area during the latest part of the run, the data puts BlackRock’s ETF back at the center of the institutional Bitcoin narrative.
The key signal is consistency: more than $1.8 billion in positive holdings netflow accumulated across seven consecutive trading sessions.
