“Doubao Work” released: the era of AI doing tasks autonomously has arrived

On August 25, Chinese tech company ByteDance’s AI assistant, Doubao, officially launched its new productivity product, “Doubao Work.” It’s no longer just a chat-and-qa tool; it’s an Agent product that can autonomously break down tasks around your goals, call tools, and advance complex workflows.

Doubao Work is deeply integrated with the collaboration and office software Feishu. Based on enterprise context, it can complete tasks more accurately. After a user enters a question, they can directly call skills using “/”.

Starting today, the desktop version can be downloaded from the official website. Users can upgrade to the latest Doubao desktop version to use it, and logging in or upgrading also lets users freely claim 30 days of subscription benefits.

It focuses on “going from drafting plans to building systems.” Whether it’s writing proposals, organizing meeting minutes, drafting reports, or producing research summaries—as well as creating spreadsheets and analyzing data—it can deliver high-quality results. Even more complex needs are no problem: it can generate and edit images, videos, web pages, and even applications, with broad coverage that ranks among the top in similar products.

In addition, AI ecosystem capabilities such as skills and connectors allow users to expand as needed, covering multiple professional areas including data analysis, content planning, research, and finance. From starting with you to helping you finish the job, the ceiling for office software has just been raised another notch.
