# PYTH Spot Trading Contest Countdown: 500U Volume Threshold, 5,000,000-PYTH Prize Pool
The Binance Pyth Network ($PYTH ) spot trading tournament is currently underway, with a total prize pool of 5,000,000 PYTH token vouchers. The rules of this event are very straightforward: during the event period, if your PYTH/USDT or PYTH/USDC spot trading volume is at least $500, you are eligible to share the prizes. As of 18:00 (Beijing time) on August 27, there are only the last two days left.
**I. How to participate?**
1️⃣ First, complete registration on the event landing page via [Join Now]. If you only trade without registering, you won’t receive any rewards.
2️⃣ During the event period, the cumulative spot trading volume of PYTH/USDT or PYTH/USDC reaches $500. Both buy and sell transactions are counted. Note that zero-fee trading pairs do not count toward the statistics.
3️⃣ Rewards are distributed based on cumulative volume ranking. The leaderboard updates at least once every 24 hours.
**II. How is the prize pool split?**
Main prize pool by ranking gradient: 1st place gets 150,000 PYTH, 2nd–5th decrease from 125,000 down to 50,000, and 6th–1000th are split in different tiers. For all qualified users ranked outside the top 1000, the remaining 1,000,000 PYTH is distributed proportionally by trading volume, with a per-person cap of 800 PYTH.
In other words, ordinary users who don’t try to top the leaderboard but only meet the 500U threshold can also receive a share proportionally.
Rewards are issued as token vouchers by September 10. They have a validity period of 21 days. Be sure to claim them via Profile > Rewards Hub; expired rewards are void.
**III. Who is this for?**
It’s suitable for people who already follow $PYTH and can calculate fees and slippage clearly. If you want to get into the top 1000, you’ll need to pile up volume—the cost is the sum of trading fees plus price volatility, so do the math before you act. Don’t temporarily increase your position size just to chase the leaderboard. The event may vary by region; refer to your account’s actual eligibility status and the official rules.
Are you participating only for the proportional-pool tiers, or are you planning to seriously go for a ranking run? Let’s talk about your strategy in the comments.
