I recently went through the technical materials for @Dusk again, and Phoenix is a part I’m particularly interested in.

Phoenix uses the UTXO model and combines zero-knowledge proofs to enable private transactions. Its focus isn’t to make transactions unverifiable; instead, it ensures transactions are valid while reducing unnecessary information disclosure as much as possible.

This kind of design is actually quite valuable in financial scenarios. When institutions trade, they don’t necessarily need to make every position, flow of funds, and trading detail publicly visible to the entire network—sometimes it’s enough to prove that a given transaction complies with the rules.

Based on this, Dusk adds a selective disclosure mechanism, allowing different participants to obtain the necessary information according to their actual permissions, striking a balance between privacy and verification.

With XSC as well, Dusk can further cover securities and regulated financial asset scenarios. And DuskEVM lowers the barrier for EVM developers to enter the ecosystem, making it easier for Solidity developers to build applications.

So, after studying it, I believe Phoenix isn’t an isolated privacy module, but an important part of Dusk’s overall financial infrastructure. #dusk $DUSK
