In response to the crisis caused by the recent floods in Libya, Binance will distribute $100 in BNB to all Binance users who have completed Proof of Address (POA) in Libya.
User identity will be determined based on the completion of Proof of Address before September 11, 2023, across the country.
Each of the users who completed Proof of Address before 11 September 2023 will receive $100 in BNB directly into their Binance account. For any current user who completes Proof of Address after 11 September 2023 and before 30 September 2023, we will donate $25 worth of BNB directly to their Binance account. In addition, all active users across Libya will receive $10 in BNB.
Funds will reach our users starting from 13 September 2023.
Although the Proof of Address method has certain limitations and may not be perfectly accurate, it is the best method available to us to identify the likely location of users affected. With a commitment of up to $500,000 worth of BNB, we expect to directly support approximately 13,000 users through these efforts.
After natural disasters, people often lose access to traditional banking services at the exact moment when additional funds are needed to cover medical supplies, food, and other essential needs.
