I was staring at the screen last night and suddenly got hungry. At 2 a.m., I cooked myself a bowl of noodles—fried egg with Lao Gan Ma, and a steamed bun sat by the stove watching me, almost scorching my mustache. Today, I finally had a normal mealtime. I made garlic scallion greens (kong xin cai), stir-fried green peppers with pork, and steamed a barramundi. Eating alone still has to look proper—even if it’s just me—my plate has to be set straight. Last time the trainer said my body-fat percentage is low, but this summer I haven’t had much appetite. The only thing that keeps me eating on time, I guess, is that orange cat sitting by my bowl waiting for the meat. Alright—since the afternoon market isn’t moving, I’m going to catch a quick nap. 👋
