$XAU Margins for gasoline in northwestern Europe rise amid tighter supplies
Gasoline refining margins in northwestern Europe rose by $0.53 to reach $39.78 per barrel on Wednesday, as supplies in the region tighten.

Trading activity showed changes in ownership of 16,000 metric tons of E5 gasoline via barges, with Trafigura and Equinor acting as sellers, while TOTSA, Varo, MB Energy, and Petronius served as buyers. In addition, another 8,000 metric tons of E10 gasoline were traded via barges, with Exxon, Sahara, and Shell selling to Varo and Trafigura.

These supply constraints come at a time when Russia is importing about 270,000 metric tons of refined fuel through ship-to-ship transfers in Asia during the current month, according to preliminary shipping data and industry sources. These imports aim to address fuel shortages resulting from the Ukrainian attacks on Russia’s oil refineries.
