Many Vietnamese traders have their accounts locked or have their Fiat funds withdrawn—not because of mistakes made on the exchange, but due to poor security on their personal devices when trading.
Case Study: A trader frequently places P2P orders while connected to free Wi‑Fi at a coffee shop. The device gets infected with malware (Malware/Keylogger) or is interfered with through the shared network, causing Mobile Banking login details and OTP codes to be exposed. The attacker then accesses the Bank app, transfers funds illegally into the trader’s account, and the account is immediately frozen by the bank.
Defense checklist for trading infrastructure:
Use only your own 4G/5G: Absolutely do not open Mobile Banking or the Binance app when using public Wi‑Fi without encryption.
Turn on biometric authentication: Set up FaceID/Fingerprint for every banking transaction, and prioritize Smart OTP instead of the usual SMS OTP.
