3 misunderstandings I’ve encountered when using Binance P2P
There are a few things about P2P that I’ve heard quite often.
One of them is that the cheapest price is always the best option.
I don’t think so.
A slightly cheaper offer still needs you to check the merchant, the payment conditions, and how the transaction takes place. The price difference may only be part of the decision.
The second misunderstanding is that a transfer screenshot can be considered proof that the money has arrived.
No.
I still open my banking app to check. The screenshot only shows an image sent in the chat. My account balance tells me whether the money has actually come in.
The third one is even easier to run into.
It’s thinking that P2P transactions must be extremely fast.
I’ve had that thought too. Then I realized that spending a few dozen seconds doing an extra check isn’t that much—if it helps me avoid making a rushed decision.
Binance P2P gives me a lot of information right in the order. The merchant profile, payment instructions, the chat exchange content, and transaction history can all be reviewed before going any further.
I’ve seen many mistakes start when users skip one of those details.
Not because they don’t know.
Just because they think it doesn’t matter.
