A Structure Where It Weakens in the Short Term but Strengthens in the Long Term
While #ETH pulled back to the $1,550–1,650 area in June, the staking amount continued to rise rather than falling. After that, even though ETH recovered to around $1,900, the staking amount continued to increase. As the ETH price recovers and investors continue to stake their ETH, it indicates that long-term selling supply is decreasing. Therefore, the current structure is working in favor of ETH on the supply side, especially in the medium and long term.
▪️Total Value Staked: approximately 42.25 million ETH
▪️ETH 2.0 Staking Rate: 34.52%
▪️Staking Inflow Total: approximately 6,892 ETH
▪️ETH price: approximately $1,899
In the chart, there is a strong increase in staking from around the 37 million ETH levels to 42.25 million ETH. More than one-third of the total supply is currently staked. Therefore, even if demand stays the same, a reduction in the amount of ETH available to trade on exchanges and in the market could make it easier for the price to move upward. What matters here is not only the staking inflow, but the continuous rise in the accumulated total staked amount as well. However, the Staking Inflow Total is quite volatile, and the latest value is around 6,892 ETH. In previous periods, much higher staking inflows were seen. In other words, the strength of new staking inflows has started to weaken. That’s why we’re seeing a more sideways price movement in the short term due to weakening demand.
In short, on the chart, in the long run the staking side appears to be a factor currently supporting an upward move in the ETH price. However, in the short term, we are facing a weakening price unless demand comes in. $ETH
