A real, strange story: a P2P transaction where I had to wait for the merchant… they only processed it after checking my bank statement 😂

I used to think that with P2P, once you pay, you just wait a little and then you receive the coins. Turns out, I once traded with a shop where I paid in full and then had to sit and wait.

One hour passed.
Two hours…
Three hours…

After more than 5 hours, I messaged them and got a very familiar reply:

“The shop is urgently checking your bank statement to confirm the funds transfer to you. Please wait a few more minutes.”

Huh =)))

Five hours already, and “a few minutes” is a bit of a long time, guys.

Of course, I don’t think slow merchant processing automatically means something is wrong. They might truly be reconciling the transaction, the banking system may be updating slowly, or some other issue may have come up.

But from a buyer’s perspective, waiting for a transaction with no clear progress for hours really is quite frustrating.

If you run into something similar, I think the best approach is to stay calm and follow the proper procedure:

👉 Keep all communication within the Order chat box.
👉 Save the Order ID, payment proof, and the chat history.
👉 If the processing time becomes unusually long, you can open an Appeal for Binance to check.
👉 Don’t cancel the order on your own or do anything unusual just because the merchant says “wait a bit more.”

Fast P2P is very convenient, but once a transaction gets stuck for a few hours, that convenience turns into… a test of patience =)))

What would you do if you get the message “they’re checking the bank statement, please wait a few more minutes,” and it still hasn’t finished after 5 hours?
