If this message really conveys Araghchi’s position, then for the deal it’s definitely a bad signal.

The main problem is that Iran is effectively seeking an agreement in which:

* the war ends on all fronts, including Lebanon;
* the US lifts the blockade;
* the Strait of Hormuz is opened;
* the nuclear issue is postponed for later;
* the parties commit not to interfere in each other’s internal affairs.

At the same time, Tehran continues to insist that negotiations are impossible unless the US meets Iran’s conditions.

For the market, this is rather bearish in the short term: if Washington doesn’t agree to such terms, talks could drag on again → escalation risk → oil higher, while risk assets—including BTC/altcoins—may face pressure.

But there’s an important nuance: the very fact that opening Hormuz is being discussed is a positive element for the global market, because its closure already creates serious risks for oil and inflation.

So I would interpret it as: “the deal is far from ready, but there is a diplomatic window,” rather than as a final failure.
