SNDK Short Squeezes Out $8.36M in 1 Hour—Nearly Half of All TradFi Liquidations Across the Web Concentrate on It

SanDisk (SNDK) delivered a solid sucker punch to TradFi contract shorts. In the past 1 hour, total TradFi liquidations across the web reached $17.39 million, with shorts accounting for 97.7%. Of that, SNDK alone contributed $8.36 million—nearly half of the share—and in this liquidation, almost all positions were shorts exiting in one direction.

The largest single liquidation occurred on Binance at $750,000. OKX, Bitget, and Gate also saw synchronized liquidations of SNDK shorts in the same window, with highly consistent timing. This indicates the surge wasn’t just panic on one platform, but a coordinated forced liquidation across the whole “street,” bringing shorts collectively to the same end.

SNDK’s current price is $1,722. It’s up 3.88% over the past 24 hours, with $2.46 billion in trading volume—making it one of the most active TradFi contract instruments. Over the last 30 days, it racked up $368 million in liquidations, the only underlying asset to exceed $300 million, and it has consistently topped the charts for a long time.

Looking at the wider picture across the web: in the past 24 hours, total TradFi contract liquidations were $24.09 million, with shorts at 94%. Stock-type assets contributed 86%. When contract leverage positions get blown up, stock markets don’t hold back any more than the crypto crowd.
