APR rose 17%, while OI only climbed 8%

Over the past 24 hours, APR increased 17.30% to 0.1924, with trading volume of $592 million. However, open interest (OI) over the same period rose only 8.25% to 34.27 million—its pace is less than half of the price’s pace. The leverage chasing the move isn’t as aggressive as the price surge. This looks more like spot-driven demand rather than fresh leverage piling in.

Exchange distribution: Binance accounts for 39.42% and leads the charge (24h +9.33%); Bitget’s share is 16.63% (+16.19%) and OKX’s is 14.32% (+11.5%), both moving up in sync. The exception is MEXC: its share is 2.37% but it went against the trend, reducing positions by -14.6%. Aster’s share is small at 0.6%, yet its 24h jump is 22.07%.

Across the whole network in 24h, liquidations totaled $2.5 million: 53.7% were shorts ($1.34 million) that got buried, so longs currently have the upper hand. Funding rates at all 12 exchanges are positive; OI-weighted annualized funding is about 19%—mildly bullish, not yet in an extreme overbought zone.
