Believe in the power of compounding
Recently, I’ve been studying U.S. stocks. The more I research, the more it feels like internet entrepreneurship and investing are especially similar. Why does Buffett always emphasize compounding? Because what’s truly terrifying about compounding isn’t the first year—it’s the many years that come after. Many people think: someone else already has one million, and I only have a hundred thousand—how can I catch up? Actually, that’s an illusion. What truly determines the future is never the principal amount, but the rate of return. If a person with one million earns 10% in a year, that’s 100,000 gained. If a person with a hundred thousand earns 100% in a year, that’s also 100,000 gained. By the second year, the gap between them starts to shrink. Many excellent funds, small companies, and entrepreneurs grow so fast in the early stages—not because their foundation is thick, but because their growth rate is far higher than the industry average.
The same is true for the internet. A marketing account with 100,000 followers might gain 1,000 followers per month. A new account might gain 5,000 followers per month. Even though the gap is huge right now, as long as the growth rate keeps being faster, the gap will become smaller and smaller. What truly determines the future isn’t how much you have now—it’s how fast you’re growing.

August 16: The U.S. Treasury’s reliance on short-term debt is on the rise. Currently, U.S. Treasury bills account for 21% of the market for tradable Treasury securities—nearing the highest level since 2020, when borrowing surged during the pandemic. This figure is far above the 10–15% range observed between 2012 and 2019. By contrast, during the 2008 financial crisis, this proportion reached roughly 34%.

Meanwhile, the U.S. government is becoming increasingly dependent on short-term Treasuries to meet its growing borrowing needs rather than on long-term bonds. If the Treasury continues issuing long-term debt at its current pace before fiscal year 2027, Treasuries would make up 25% of total debt—the highest level since 2004. However, this approach increases the risk that the government will face volatility in short-term interest rates. If rates keep rising—or rise again—debt repayment costs would become harder to bear. Sell a position and there’s always some “dust” left on the balance. Usually it’s a few dozen cents. You can’t sell it anymore—the amount is too small for an order. The only thing you can do is convert it into a regular stock.

Why does this happen?

In bStocks and regular stocks, the precision is different (
Tokenized versions are counted with precision up to 8 decimal places, while stocks—up to 9.
Plus, there’s a minimum order size on the spot market.
As a result, after selling, almost always a micro-balance remains that no longer passes the exchange filters.
At the moment, this dust can only be converted into a stock.

1. Dust Collector

The token creator uses a contract to forcibly transfer
CZ address doesn’t actively destroy the “Bull Comes” token

According to Arkham data on August 16, around 16:15 today, CZ’s publicly donated address has shown three consecutive token-destruction transactions. These include 4,444 units of the Meme token “Bull Comes” (contract address starts with 0xD043B6, which is the same-named token as the “Bull Comes” that market hype has associated with a contract starting with 0xbee), 4,444 units of the Meme coin MarsCoin, and 4,444 units of “Binance Life.”

Upon verification of the three destruction transactions, the 4,444 units of the Meme token “Bull Comes” were not actively destroyed by CZ. The transaction initiator was the token creator themselves (0xcf86..383). The creator deployed the contract, set privileged authorization, minted 1 billion tokens to their own address, then proactively transferred about 800 million tokens to the CZ address. After that, they used transferFrom to forcibly withdraw 4,444 tokens from the CZ address to a burn/dark hole address, thereby simulating CZ’s destruction. During this period, the CZ address had no authorization for that token or for the initiator.

This tactic is far from uncommon. Previously, in 2025, the CAAB token project team transferred 80% of the supply directly to CZ’s donation address, promoting “CZ holdings.” The market value briefly surged to a false high, misleading investors. The SHORT token sent 99.9% of its supply to CZ; after CZ “cleared” (burned) it, it instead triggered a short-term blow-up. The project team then used the opportunity to sell off.

A bull market is never the same as making money by simply closing your eyes. During an uptrend, there will be sharp pullbacks; fake hot trends keep emerging one after another.
