Accepting an USDT rate that’s lower than the market and still getting “orders held” for 30 minutes 😂
This time I have some personal matters, so I need to withdraw USDT into cash. I knew the rate at that time wasn’t great, but since it’s necessary, I still have to cash out. I even intentionally chose a price lower than the general market level to prioritize selling quickly.
But who knew—30 minutes later, the order still wasn’t completed.
I accepted selling below the market just to sell quickly, yet I still ran into this.
I reported to the exchange to ask for support, but while waiting, I got curious about why my order was being held.
So I went back to check the P2P ads around it and found that this merchant’s selling order is right behind my order.
While I was deliberately setting the rate at the lowest to get priority for a fast sale.
It’s possible they placed my buy order just to “block” my ad position, preventing others from seeing it?
I can’t say for sure that this is exactly what happened, because just looking at the ad placement isn’t enough to conclude the other party’s intent.
But if it really is a case where they create an order and then don’t process it to affect other people’s ads, it’s pretty annoying, guys =)))
Through this case, I realized that if you encounter a situation where the counterparty holds an order for too long, don’t act on impulse and handle things randomly just because you’re impatient.
Just:
👉 Keep the Order and the chat history unchanged.
👉 Check the transaction status again.
👉 If there are any signs of abnormality, report/appeal for support.
Has anyone here run into a case like this before? Does anyone know of any other possible schemes? Share with me :)) Getting this kind of thing is really scary, guys. @Binance Vietnam #BinanceP2PAnToan
