Originally, I thought the two-point ETH would compress and fall asleep at 1874.
Turns out it keeps grinding along at 1884.
BTC hasn’t moved, and ETH doesn’t have the nerve to surge on its own.
MA5 and MA20 are stuck at 1884, and the price is just perfectly stepping on it.
RSI 50.2—neither overbought nor has much momentum.
MACD is bullish: DIF is 0.9646, but volume has shrunk to the point where it’s almost invisible versus the 20-day average volume.
A bullish move with no volume is like a whistle blown in the middle of the night—it even makes itself feel guilty.
The Bollinger Band has tightened by 0.7%, and the price is riding along the upper band.
Support is 1864 to 1866; S1/S2 are very close—this is the bottom repeatedly stepped out.
Resistance is 1892 to 1893, where the previous highs are stacked.
BTC could switch direction overnight, and ETH will likely follow in the same direction.
But ETH’s wicks are usually longer.
Don’t chase—wait for ETH to step on the level and stabilize first.
When placing orders at dawn, leave room for error.
Don’t set your stop-loss too tight—one wick can wipe you out.
My plan is to buy on a pullback around 1883.
If it breaks below 1864, I’ll admit the mistake.
If it rallies to 1892, I’ll cut half first.
This is the tolerance range I can accept.
For the upside, it needs to stand above 1893 with volume—right now it hasn’t done that.
For the downside, it first needs to break 1866—also not seeing it.
A narrow-range consolidation is closest to the current situation.
The signals are slightly bullish, but it’s missing volume confirmation.
Maybe my bullish filter is just too heavy.
