I’ve heard the phrase “bad money drives out good,” but this is the first time I’ve seen “fake currency drive out bad currency.” 😂

Movie rating: Ox/10🐮

A friend kept催更 asking for my review, so I decided to appreciate the recent masterpiece “Here Comes the Ox.”

The most direct, fair, and hottest set of viewing impressions for everyone🔥

Although everyone is mocking this “movie” in group chats, behind the excellent quality that was basically rushed out over three months of self-taught animation like a high schooler, the core of this film is solid. The story of the movie is well laid out, and the spirit it wants to convey is very positive. [赞R]

1. At the start of the movie, Cloud Ding teaches Niu Lai: different species each have their strengths and should help one another.

2. Later, Cow Lai helps Leopard Lai escape from trouble, proving to his mother through actions that beings of different species can support each other.

3. Leopard Lai’s help in enabling the mother and child to escape the wolves’ malicious attacks (plant good causes, reap good results)

4. The cow mother sacrificed herself so that everyone could completely get rid of the wolf pack, accomplishing everything for others.

5. After growing up, Cow Lai encounters the same kind of predicament again. This time, he doesn’t back down. What used to be finding “Mom” whenever he hit setbacks as a kid transforms into a great cow like his mother—alone, he holds off the enemy, and finally reaches the ideal world, reuniting with his parents and completing the full circle: closing the loop, picking up foreshadowing, and echoing from beginning to end.

Back then I completely lay flat and didn’t want to move. I just shouted for “Mom the cow” whenever anything happened, and it was already able to stand up (as shown in Figure 2 😂). At the beginning of the movie, when Mom the cow calls the cow for the first time and tells it to keep up with the herd and not fall behind, she’s trying to teach it that some things have to be worked on by yourself—lying flat is useless. The second time, after separating from the leopard, she calls the cow and tells it not to fall behind, wanting it to understand that humans can’t live in the past; they should stand tall, chest out, and walk toward the future. Until the cow mother can no longer walk, she understands that her life’s mission is complete. Then she teaches the cow again: people must keep moving forward. When we reach the end of life, we will naturally meet again😭

This is the most educational Chinese animated movie I’ve watched this year. Some art just wears a layer of abstract exterior—you have to peel it open slowly from within. Kudos to the two producers!!![wry R]

When you choose to blindly support (Nezha)

Mindlessly following the crowd (The Eight Immortals)

But I’m still in love with it (the cow coming)

When the movie ended, all the audience in the theater clapped and cheered. I believe these 80 minutes brought everyone countless joys and laughable moments. The laughter ran from start to finish—whether it was mocking or genuinely feeling happy—the movie’s mission has been accomplished.

Finally, I want to give the producers a piece of advice: don’t make any more sequels. I can’t take it anymore, folks. Writing my review was really hard—I did my best, and I was laughing while writing; you know what I mean? I laughed so hard it hurt my insides 😂.
